India’s first Center for Water Literacy was inaugurated on May 2, 2025, by Mr. Suresh Prabhu(Former Union Minister of India ) at the SRPF-14 Campus, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), Maharashtra. Spread across 18 acres, the site now features over 90 water conservation structures, representing a transformative step in addressing water scarcity in the drought-prone Marathwada region.
The concept and technical design of the center were developed by Dr. Priyanand Agale, popularly known as the Water Hero of India and Founder of Eco Needs Foundation. The initiative took shape under the visionary leadership of Mr. Vikram Sali, Commandant of SRPF-14, and the coordination efforts of Mr. Pravi Tail, a young industrialist passionate about environmental sustainability.
Eco-Needs Foundation (ENF) is an organization of young people striving for environmental conservation and ECO-REVOLUTION.
It is a revolution entailing all round ecological development.
which includes economic, social, educational, cultural, health, technological development and conservation of water and other natural resources, and above all the holistic development of the ecology.
